Great article! So encouraging to know seals are making their way back into the Meadowlands. I hadn't even known they were here before pollution.

I am a birder and not a marine mammal expert;) Just an FYI, there are five species of seals that can be seen in the harbor, including: Harp, Harbor, Gray, Hooded, and occasionally the rare Ringed. Birders (including myself) may want to take the time to learn the difference (up to this point I always generally call them "harbor seals"), as seals become more commonplace in our improving waters.
